Dallas, Texas — TravelCenters of America has opened nominations for its 14th annual Citizen Driver Award, inviting the trucking community to honor drivers who exemplify safety, citizenship, and leadership.

The award, launched in 2013, spotlights drivers who demonstrate good citizenship, safety, health and wellness, community involvement, and leadership. Since its inception, 41 drivers have received the honor, with the program drawing more than 150 nominations in the previous year.

Recipients receive a cash prize, the opportunity to dedicate a TA, Petro Stopping Center, or TA Express location in their name, a bronze historical marker, a dedication ceremony with family and friends, and a $2,500 donation to an organization of their choice.
