Oklahoma City, OK — Love’s Travel Stops has officially kicked off its annual fundraising campaign to benefit Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) Hospitals, a drive that continues through September 29. Drivers stopping at any Love’s, Country Store, or Speedco location across the country can participate by rounding up their change, making cash donations, or purchasing paper balloons at the $1, $5, and $20 levels.

Supporting these medical facilities remains a primary charitable focus for the company, which has served as a partner to CMN Hospitals since 1999. Over the course of that quarter-century relationship, Love’s has generated approximately $46 million in total donations. The funds are distributed locally to 116 specific hospitals, ensuring that the money raised stays within the communities where truck drivers live and work. Last year, the organization earned the title of U.S. Corporate Partner of the Year for its commitment to these pediatric health initiatives.

Jenny Love Meyer, chief culture officer and executive vice president at Love’s, noted that the success of the program relies heavily on the grassroots efforts of store teams and the generosity of the professional driving community. Beyond the standard donation options, Love’s hotels are offering branded teddy bears for $19.99, with all proceeds earmarked for the hospitals. On September 29, the company will also participate in National Coffee Day, allowing customers to purchase any size coffee or hot beverage for $1 through the Love’s Connect app, with the full dollar going directly to the campaign.

What This Means for Drivers

For the average CDL-A driver, these stops provide a convenient way to support pediatric care while on the road. Owner-operators managing their own fuel budgets can utilize the round-up option to keep donations manageable while still contributing to the total. Many trucking companies hiring today emphasize corporate social responsibility, and participating in these campaigns is a standard part of the culture at major travel centers. If you are an OTR truck driver looking for a carrier that values community involvement, keep an eye on how these travel stops engage with local causes during your routine fuel stops.

Industry Reaction

The broader trucking industry consistently supports CMN Hospitals, viewing it as a way to give back to the communities that support the supply chain. While Musket Corp. and Trillium Energy Solutions are hosting their own separate 'Drive for a Child' event at Topgolf Houston this October, the collective effort shows a unified front from the Love’s family of companies. These initiatives highlight the industry's role in funding critical areas like lifesaving equipment, patient services, and research, which receive the bulk of the distributed funds every year.
