Chillicothe, Ohio — Eaton Cummins Automated Transmission Technologies announced today that it has delivered its 500,000th Endurant transmission to Werner Enterprises, marking a major milestone for the automated manual line that debuted in 2017.

The Endurant family has become a staple in North American fleets, with drivers noting the system’s light weight and advanced software that smooths shifts and cuts driver fatigue. Since the first rollout, the transmission has appeared on a growing list of models — from the heavy‑duty Endurant HD and its V and N variants to the versatile Endurant XD, XD Pro and XD N — each engineered for highway haulage or heavy vocational work.

During the ceremony at the Kenworth Truck Plant, a brand‑new T680 pulled off the line with the 500,000th unit installed. A commemorative plaque was presented to Werner’s senior vice president of maintenance, Scott Reed, while Josh Mejeur, Eaton’s regional director, highlighted the company’s long‑standing partnership. Reed said the 40‑year relationship with Eaton began with the first Endurant, and the milestone underscores both innovation and reliability for drivers and customers alike.
